There are times in our lives when words do not come easily or close to comforting those in need. This is one of those times. Just ten days before Christmas, tragedy struck Newtown, CT in an act of senseless violence. One individual shot down 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
There was an outcry from people who wanted to help, yet didn’t know how. Three days after this heartbreak, TV host and journalist Ann Curry, tweeted “Imagine if everyone could commit to doing one act of kindness for each precious life lost. An act of kindness big or small. Are you in?” Within minutes, people were tweeting back that they thought this was a great idea and they were in.
Let us not think about what we can’t do, let us think about what we can. There’s magic in doing for others. We can all spread goodness, peace, and love this Christmas season by doing simple acts of kindness. Let the miracle be that YOU are willing to spread kindness, one act at a time.
We wish you all a peaceful Christmas and New Year!
